1999 Annual Report

Welcome to our new website. We are the Student Section of the Ontario Psychological Association.

It is our hope that this site will help to serve a number of purposes. With the internet we have an opportunity to turn what has traditionally been a Toronto based organization into one that is province wide. With the internet we have an opportunity to connect, converse, commiserate...

As well as the website we have created a SOSIP Listserv® which also should facilitate in bridging the physical space that has for so long kept SOSIP (and OPA for that matter) disconnected and Toronto focused.

So once again welcome, browse around and feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions, comments or problems with the website (omissions, typos, bad-links etc...).

-Stephen Biggs, President

A brief note on design and choice of host

Now, we realize that some of you might not be ready for this level of multimedia high tech razzle dazzle in blue and green, we thought of adding a beige or grey, but whoa..., let's not lose our minds here.

In all seriousness, it may only be my guess, but most Grad Students aren't driving 450Mhz Pentium III's down the Information Super-Highway. In fact most of us are lucky if we even qualify for a license.

We wanted to launch a website that was resource heavy and "bells and whistles" light. While it won't be much to look at, you won't have time to revise your Thesis Proposal while you wait for the Home Page to load.

As for the choice of a free server, what can I say it's free. While the pop up window is obnoxious, it's free, opinions?
